A couple weeks after my last update, my dad was diagnosed with stage-4 pancreatic cancer. Today is his first at-home hospice visit. Needless to say, it has been a stressful and tiring summer, filled with several false-alarm trips to the ER and many bittersweet "lasts". I apologize for delays and lack of updates; I have not been able to do my best work, nor focus on this project in anything but fits and starts. 

Of course VIGIL has still been often on my mind, as it gives great focus to souls heading to the life after, and triggers for player characters to introspect on their life lived before — both things that I'm journeying through with my dad as he approaches his last days. This project may continue on a hiatus for a time, as my family navigates this new season of grief, but it is not forgotten. I am continuing to plug away at pieces of it, including the drafted character sheet below:
